Journey beneath the waves and into the heart of marine ecosystems with our STEAM in the PARK program at the stunning Acadia National Park. This 5-day, 4-night exploration aligns with the United Nations' Global Goal 14: "Life Below Water" — championing the conservation and sustainable usage of our precious marine realms.
🌊 Program Focus:
Plunge deep into the intricacies of marine ecosystems. Discover their profound importance, their delicate balance, and the human-induced challenges they currently face.

🌊 Join us at STEAM in the PARK in Acadia National Park and immerse yourself in the vast world beneath our oceans. This isn't just a camp; it's a call to connect, comprehend, and champion the realms below. 🌊🐡

🛏️ Duration & Accommodations:
  • Revel in a transformative 5-day, 4-night experience amidst the pristine vistas of Acadia National Park.
  • Delight in apartment-style accommodations that foster rich family interactions and community vibes. Each family will have their own apartment. 
  • Feast on thoughtfully crafted meals in our communal cafeteria, fueling your daily adventures.
  • Maximum Capacity: 20 families, adding up to 65 campers in total.
🌐 Base Camp: Our hub of exploration will be the esteemed Schoodic Institute, located at 9 Atterbury Circle, Winter Harbor, ME 04693.

  • Tide Pool Study: Explore the intertidal zones, where marine life dazzles in abundance, and grasp their role in the vast oceanic food chain.
  • Invasive Green Crab Survey: Dive into the world of the invasive green crab, uncovering its impacts and the steps taken to control its spread.
  • Phenology Hikes: Traverse Acadia's trails, observing nature's seasonal rhythms and understanding the role of climate therein.
  • Dark Sky Event: Let the cosmos captivate you, as we discuss the importance of preserving our night skies for myriad reasons.
  • Family Engineering Design Challenge: Unleash your creativity by designing and prototyping a marine trap with your loved ones.
  • Climate Change Insights: Delve into the pressing challenges of climate change in marine settings, from oceanic warming to acidification.
