🌟 Get ready for an exciting new adventure at our STEAM in the PARK camp at Delaware Water Gap from July 27-31, 2025! This is a brand new camp for us. Picture learning circles in the Yurts, filled with creativity and discovery, and a thrilling trip down the scenic Delaware River! Keep an eye out for amazing wildlife like river otters, bald eagles, and white-tailed deer as we explore this incredible park together.

🌟 Highlights of the Week:
Geological History

• Learn about the formation of the Delaware Water Gap, a geological marvel over 500 million years in the making through tectonic activity and river erosion.

Cultural History

• Discover the rich Native American history, including the Lenape people, and explore early European settlements and historic villages in the area.

Biodiversity and Ecology

• Study the park’s diverse ecosystems, from lush forests to wetlands and rivers, and learn about the species that call this park home, including black bears, river otters, and bald eagles.

​Environmental Challenges

• Learn about the management of invasive species like the hemlock woolly adelgid and how the park addresses climate change impacts.

​Revolutionary War History

• Delve into the area’s role as a frontier during the American Revolutionary War and its historical significance.​

Accommodations:

• ​Campers will stay in cabins in the beautiful Pocono Environmental Education Center, nestled within the park. We will stay in cabins with bunk beds and shared bathrooms.

Costs:

• $670 per camper
• The program fee will cover food, accommodations, program fees, supplies, and equipment for all activities.

• Registration is 2-4:00 pm on Day 1
• Checkout by 10:00 am on Day 5

• January 31, 2025: Application deadline
• February 5, 2025: Camp acceptance/rejection notifications sent
• February 15, 2025: $100 nonrefundable deposit deadline
• May 1, 2025: FULL STEAM in the PARK payment deadline
• May 15, 2025: Full payment is no longer refundable
