Note: The original schedule had us visiting Redwood National & State Park on July 6-10. Due to circumstances beyond our control, they had to cancel for 2026. Fortunately, we will be returning to Bryce Canyon National Park as a replacement on those dates.

Season 6 of STEAM in the PARK — 2026
|
|
STEAM in the PARK is a 5-day, 4-night immersive experience designed for educators who are passionate about nature and education. Held in breathtaking national park locations, this program offers a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded peers, rekindle your fire for teaching, and gather invaluable resources to bring back to your students, schools, and communities. It's a time to live, learn, and grow among educators who share your love for the outdoors and a desire to make a lasting impact.
Our mission is clear: to inspire and support educators, helping them return to their classrooms recharged and ready to make an even bigger difference in their students' lives. STEAM in the PARK is more than learning—it’s about building a community that lifts each other up and shares the passion for education, nature, and impact. |
As we step into Season 6, it’s incredible to reflect on the path that’s brought us here. Since launching our very first camp in Acadia National Park in 2021, STEAM in the PARK has grown into a movement rooted in curiosity, community, and the power of place-based learning.
Over the past five years, we’ve hosted 46 camps across 25 national park sites, welcoming more than 1,300 educators and park rangers into this work. Their passion has stretched far beyond the campfire—bringing nature-based learning to more than 125,000 students nationwide. Every lesson taught, every story shared, every spark rekindled continues to ripple across classrooms, districts, and communities. In Season 6, we’re excited to return to beloved park sites and introduce new ones to the adventure. Each camp continues our mission to help educators rekindle their fire, find their people, and immerse themselves in the beauty and inspiration of the places we protect. This year’s theme, Designing with Nature: Voices of the Wild, invites us to listen more closely—to the patterns, stories, and wisdom woven throughout every ecosystem we step into. Together, we’ll explore how nature designs, adapts, and teaches… and how we can carry those lessons back to our classrooms and communities. Here’s to another season of discovery, connection, and wild inspiration. Let’s get ready for the adventure of a lifetime. |
What our campers are saying:
|
|
I am so glad that I said "yes!" Words cannot express how much I love STEAM in the PARK!! You make me challenge myself and go way outside my comfort zone. My teaching has changed! I make sure to get kids in nature! My relationships have changed. I am more patient and tolerant. I strive to be inclusive. My travel has changed. I am willing to go ANYWHERE!
Thank you for your hard work and sacrifice for all of us!! You make each of us better! --Robyn Brown |
Dacia and Steve, thank you for another amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience. You two continue to change the world with your vision, love, compassion, and generosity. You continue to change my heart more and more, giving the constant example of what good humans should be... you guys have nailed it in so many ways! Saying that I love you, that I’m forever grateful, and that I too am a better human because of you seems simply inadequate.
Forever in your service, —Rodney Crouse |
Steve & Dacia, thank you for bringing me along on this incredible journey. You have created and fostered a beautiful community of educators. This place is truly blessed. You give us joy and challenge, peace and fulfillment, laughter and tears, contemplation, and experience. In a few short days together we became a family. What you give goes beyond professional development, beyond a conference or retreat. You minister to the hearts and minds of educators... a special calling that you answer so well.
