Welcome to our third season to return to this popular camp set amidst the captivating beauty of New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. Experience a harmonious fusion of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics while soaking in the wonders of the West Virginia wilderness.
🌍 Program Focus:
Our interactive sessions and workshops resonate with the United Nations' Global Goal 12, emphasizing "Responsible Consumption and Production". We intertwine hands-on education with adventure, cultivating a profound understanding and reverence for the intricate balance of our planet.
Come, be part of an exhilarating STEAM experience! With nature as our classroom and the promise of knowledge, exploration, and fellowship, we anticipate moments of shared wonder, insights, and lasting bonds. 🌳🔬

​⛺ Duration & Accommodations:
  • Revel in 5 dynamic days and 4 tranquil nights at the time-honored Camp Brookside.
  • Recharge in genuine cabins, furnished with cozy bunk beds. Some campers will have a top bunk.
  • Access well-kept shared bathhouses centrally located for our campers' convenience. (These are not located inside the cabins.)
  • Indulge in flavorful family-style meals, fostering unity and shared memories.
  • Maximum Capacity: 36 enthusiastic campers for an intimate and engaging adventure. 
🌉 Special Highlights:
  • New River Gorge Bridge Walk: Stand in awe of the symbiosis of engineering genius and nature's majesty, with panoramic vistas from this renowned bridge.​
🌟 Key Activities:
  • Community Science Project: Delve into the realm of dragonflies, understanding their pivotal role as indicators of mercury contamination in nature or participate in a crayfish count. 
  • Moth Survey: As twilight descends, set off on an enlightening journey to document the area's diverse moth species, highlighting nocturnal biodiversity's significance.
  • Standup Paddle boarding: A delightful blend of athleticism and nature. Relish the calming embrace of the waters while also benefiting from a wholesome workout.
  • Fishing and Macro Collection: Immerse yourself in the aquatic universe, absorbing lessons on ethical fishing and the crucial role macroinvertebrates play in ecosystems.
  • Hiking: Traverse New River Gorge's untouched terrains on guided excursions, championing both physical well-being and environmental consciousness.
