Overview:
Welcome to North Cascades National Park, where glacier-carved mountains rise above brilliant blue water and the forest becomes your classroom. Campers will live and learn together beside a glacial lake, work alongside park rangers, explore the region’s natural and cultural stories, and build a learning community rooted in curiosity and shared experience.

​Highlights of the Week:

• Diablo Dam Walk: Walk across Diablo Dam and discover how water, geology, engineering, and energy come together in this remarkable landscape.​
• Work With Park Rangers: Explore side by side with park rangers and learn directly from the people who study, protect, and interpret North Cascades National Park.
• Forest Learning: Investigate towering trees, wildlife habitats, glacial landscapes, and interconnected ecosystems through hands-on learning in the forest.
• Life on a Glacial Lake: Wake up beside glacier-fed water and experience how the lake shapes the ecology, history, and daily rhythms of this extraordinary place.
• Lodge Community: Campers will stay together in lodge rooms with four people per room in bunk beds. Shared restrooms and common spaces will make this a true community experience filled with conversation, collaboration, and learning together. 

Accommodations:

• North Cascades Institute in dormitory styled rooms with bunk beds and shared bathrooms
• ​Some campers will be on top bunks

​Costs:

• $915 per camper.
• ​​The program fee will cover food, accommodations, supplies, and equipment for all activities.

​​Travel:

• Travel to and from camp is the sole responsibility of each camper.

  Vancouver International Airport (YVR)

• Registration is 2-4:00 pm on Day 1
• Checkout by 10:00 am on Day 5

• January 31, 2027: Application deadline
• February 5, 2027: Camp acceptance/rejection notifications sent
• February 15, 2027: $100 nonrefundable deposit deadline
• May 1, 2027: FULL STEAM in the PARK payment deadline
• May 15, 2027: Full payment is no longer refundable
