Overview:
Enter a world of towering trees, misty forests, and rugged coastline. In Redwood National and State Parks, campers will explore the connections among ancient forests, recovering landscapes, wildlife, and climate. Each experience will reveal how resilience, restoration, and community are helping protect this extraordinary place for generations to come.

​Highlights of the Week:

• Old-Growth Forest Studies: Step beneath some of the tallest and oldest trees on Earth to investigate the complexity of an old-growth forest and its important role in storing carbon.
• Second-Growth Forest Studies: Explore younger forests recovering from logging and discover how restoration work helps rebuild healthy, connected ecosystems.
• Banana Slug Challenge: Take part in an engaging investigation of the banana slug, its role in the forest ecosystem, and the challenges it faces as environmental conditions change.
• California Condor Restoration: Discover the inspiring story of the California condor’s return to its ancestral skies and the collaborative work making its recovery possible.
• Cabin Community: Campers will live and learn together in renovated cabins with access to a shared bathhouse. This community setting will create opportunities to share meals, exchange ideas, reflect on each day’s discoveries, and build lasting connections. 

Accommodations:

• Participants will stay at Wolf Creek Education Center in the middle of Redwood National and State Parks. 

Costs:

• $705 per camper.
• The program fee will cover food, accommodations, supplies, and equipment for all activities.

• Travel to and from camp is the sole responsibility of each camper.
• Nearest Airports:

  California Redwood Coast - Humboldt County Airport (ACV)
  Rogue Valley International - Medford (MFR)

Beginning & End

• Registration is 2-4:00 pm on Day 1
• Checkout by 10:00 am on Day 5

• February 5, 2027: Camp acceptance/rejection notifications sent
• February 15, 2027: $100 nonrefundable deposit deadline
• May 1, 2027: FULL STEAM in the PARK payment deadline
• May 15, 2027: Full payment is no longer refundable
