Overview:
Sitka camp blends tradition, story, and sea spray. Between towering totems, rushing salmon streams, and echoes of Russian and Tlingit history, every day here feels like stepping into a living museum—and walking out with lessons in resilience.

🌟 Highlights of the Week:

• Totem Carvers: Learn from Tlingit artists about meaning and design.
  
• Salmon Scouts: Follow the journey of salmon from stream to ocean.
  
• History Walk: Trace the layers of Russian, Tlingit, and American stories downtown.
  
• Coastal Explorers: Wade into tidepools and forest edges to discover life on the coast.
  
• Bonus Highlight — Bear Sanctuary: Visit Fortress of the Bear, where orphaned brown bears find care and protection.

Accommodations:

• Sitka Fine Arts Camp in dormitories with beds and shared bathrooms

​Costs:

• $855 per camper
• The program fee will cover food, accommodations, supplies, and equipment for all activities.

• Travel to and from camp is the sole responsibility of each camper.
• Nearest Airports: 
  Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC)
  Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
  ​Both airports serve as major hubs for connecting flights to Sitka Rocky Gutierrez Airport (SIT).

Beginning & End

• Registration is 2-4:00 pm on Day 1
• Checkout by 10:00 am on Day 5

• January 31, 2026: Application deadline
• February 5, 2026: Camp acceptance/rejection notifications sent
• February 15, 2026: $100 nonrefundable deposit deadline
• May 1, 2026: FULL STEAM in the PARK payment deadline
• May 15, 2026: Full payment is no longer refundable
