Overview:
At Voyageurs National Park, the waterways become both the trail and the classroom. Campers will paddle across quiet lakes, travel routes once used by voyageurs, and explore stories of Indigenous people, fur traders, stargazers, and scientists. In this remarkable landscape, water connects everything—and shared campfires bring each day of discovery to a close.

​Highlights of the Week:

• Learning Along the Voyageurs Water Pathway: Travel across the park’s interconnected lakes and waterways while learning how water has shaped the region’s ecology, transportation, culture, and history.
• Stargazers’ Circle: Gather beneath the park’s dark skies and learn about Ojibwe constellations and the stories connected to the night sky.
• Invasive Investigators: Work like scientists to investigate how zebra mussels and other invasive species affect underwater habitats and native organisms.
• Paddlers’ Past: Retrace historic fur-trade routes by canoe while discovering how voyageurs traveled, worked, and navigated these waters.
• Kettle Falls Visit: Travel by boat to this historic, water-accessible lodge and discover the stories that make it a memorable part of Voyageurs.
• Camping Community: Campers will live and learn together while camping, preparing meals, and cooking together. Shared responsibilities, evening campfires, and daily adventures will help create a strong and welcoming community. 

Accommodations:

• Camping with outdoor pit toilets
• ​​Tents, sleeping bags, and equipment included

​Costs:

• $675 per camper.
• ​The program fee will cover food, accommodations, supplies, and equipment for all activities.

​​Travel:

• Travel to and from camp is the sole responsibility of each camper.

Beginning & End

• Registration is 10-11:00 am on Day 1
• Checkout by 10:00 am on Day 5

Important dates:

• January 31, 2027: Application deadline
• February 5, 2027: Camp acceptance/rejection notifications sent
• February 15, 2027: $100 nonrefundable deposit deadline
• May 1, 2027: FULL STEAM in the PARK payment deadline
• May 15, 2027: Full payment is no longer refundable
