This is your chance to experience the awe-inspiring wilderness, learn from expert educators, and gaze at the universe under some of the clearest skies in the country.

Astronomy Under Yosemite's Skies

• Spend your evenings discovering the mysteries of the cosmos. With telescopes and guided instruction, we’ll highlight constellations, planets, and celestial phenomena. Explore the stars, reflect on the vastness of the universe, and share an unforgettable experience beneath Yosemite’s breathtakingly clear skies.

Hydrology: Lower Yosemite Falls Trail

• Dive into the dynamic world of Yosemite Valley’s hydrology with a guided exploration of the Lower Yosemite Falls Trail. Learn about the forces that have shaped the valley’s iconic waterfalls, streams, and rivers while discovering the critical role water plays in sustaining the park’s ecosystems.

Sequoias and Fire: Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias

• Explore the magnificent Mariposa Grove and learn about the unique relationship between fire and Giant Sequoias. Discover the remarkable adaptations of these ancient trees, the role of fire in maintaining healthy ecosystems, and Yosemite’s strategies to combat climate change while preserving its natural wonders.

Accommodations:
Nestled on Henness Ridge, your stay at the National Environmental Science Center (NESC) includes:

• Bunk-style lodging with shared outdoor bathrooms.
• Delicious meals provided daily.
• Access to Yosemite’s awe-inspiring trails and activities.

• $825 per camper
• The program fee will cover food, accommodations*, program fees, supplies, and equipment for all activities.
• *Campers will need to provide their own towels and pillows

• Registration is 2-4:00 pm on Day 1
• Checkout by 10:00 am on Day 5

• January 31, 2025: Application deadline
• February 5, 2025: Camp acceptance/rejection notifications sent
• February 15, 2025: $100 nonrefundable deposit deadline
• May 1, 2025: FULL STEAM in the PARK payment deadline
• May 15, 2025: Full payment is no longer refundable
